Longer session - polar own index wrong ?

Yesterday was a day off, in one way, however I still had a hell of a workout pulling my son uphill numerous times while sledging. He's only 4 but still makes for hard work uphill !

Did an ownindex test a couple of weeks back, which came up with 65, and a drop of 1 point from my previous (pre-illness) index of 66. On my trainer the wattage (kCal) and polar ended up matched a lot closer after the previous adjustments of calibrating the polar and iMagic together.

What the difference seems to be is that the training level setting in the polar needs dropping again, unless the kCal count was knocked out of sync on the iMagic because I included about 10 miles of a 1% grade this time ?

Looking back at Tuesdays kCal on the iMagic and Polar the difference seems to be only around 10% compared to the 20% variation tonight, which makes more sense meaning my own index is actually closer to 60.....

Next training session I will have to leave the gradient as flat and see how it matches. May also be an indication that I need to return to the hills a lot more frequently with a vastly different burn rate even on a small gradient....

Session duration : 76min
Average power : 211W
Average HR : 138bpm
Reference power : 137bpm=216W
Cadence avg : 87rpm
kCal : 920 (polar 1140)
